Life is unpredictable. Recognising behaviour…
A critical incident is an event that is often unexpected and may negatively impact an individual’s life as well as the workplace. A critical incident has the potential to disrupt an individual’s coping abilities that may affect their ability to function. Reactions such as sleep deprivation and irritability may surface resulting in:
- Social withdrawal
- Loss of productivity
- Relationship issues
- Substance abuse
- Physical dysfunction
Daly & Ritchie consultants are trained to assess the individual and if necessary, refer them for specialist intervention. The reassurance that the reactions that one is experiencing are normal can often be the first step to recovery. With timely onsite support, an employer may be able to reduce the employee’s recovery time and return them to their previous level of functioning.
Daly & Ritchie are available to respond to your concerns. Please don’t hesitate to contact us in any circumstance where you feel that we can be of assistance on 1300 84 44 33.
‘Sometimes a critical incident which has impacted one person can be seen by another as just an unusual event. One should always look to the impact not the event’
