Workplace Consulting

At Daly & Ritchie we work with our customers to assist them in developing skills and processes for productive workplaces that operate within psychologically safe work environments. We do this by understanding that each workplace is unique, and all employees are on a continual journey of learning, growth and development. As each workplace operates in unique environment, we tailor our workplace consulting approach by following a method that is adaptive, humanistic and reliable. Our approach is to Understand, Design & Deliver and provide Ongoing Support.

Understand

We consult with our customers to understand their organisation, workplace and employees. This step provides our customers with an opportunity to explore and gain feedback from managers and their teams. Teams can identify successes, articulate concerns and provide solutions.

Design & Deliver

We implement programs that are short, medium or long term in delivery. Each program is tailored and specific. We have found that to achieve long term effectiveness and growth, different modes of delivery are required. This can involve face-to-face learning in a group environment to our consultants attending onsite for one-to-one professional development sessions through to video conferencing. Our Design & Deliver programs are tailored to meet the needs of each customer.

Ongoing Support

We provide ongoing support to assist with change through a professional development process. This approach aids in increased levels of individual self-awareness and professional development, whilst organisations work towards maintaining a safe psychological workplace.   We look forward to providing you with further information regarding our Workplace Consulting Services.  Please contact us by calling 1300 84 44 33 or email support@dalyritchie.com.au

CheckingIN - Managing Psychosocial Hazards

CheckingIN assists our customers to provide support to their employees in managing psychosocial hazards.  Why? Because the management of psychosocial hazards makes good business sense.

Managing psychosocial hazards in the workplace assists in the prevention of psychological or physical harm. Managing psychosocial hazards means that you are working towards providing a safe workplace under the Work Health Safety Act (2011). Research and our experience has consistently showed that psychologically safe workplaces provide a safe space for higher productivity, creativity and innovation which leads to increased performance.

So what is a psychosocial hazard? According to Safe Work Australia, a psychosocial hazard is anything that could cause psychological harm to someone’s mental health. Common psychlogical hazards include: job demands, low job control, poor support, lack of role clarity, poor organisational change management, inadequate reward and recognition, poor organisational justice, traumatic events, remote or isolated work environments, violence and aggression, bullying or harassment, poor workplace relationships and interactions.
